Description |
| AidNetworks |
Aid Networks, LLC (AIDN) is a seed stage
medical device R&D company. Its mission is to produce
the lowest-cost vital sign sensors for hospital-wide patient
monitoring. AIDN has developed wireless sensors that are
15 times less expensive than existing products. These
sensors were built using proprietary technology developed
at the Johns Hopkins University through a multi-million
dollar research grant. |
Clicker |
ClickerTV's software platform uses the
installed-base of DVRs to bring Internet-like targeting
and real-time measurement to the traditional 30 second
advertisement. As compared to other television ad-insertion
platforms, ClickerTV advances targeting capabilities,
leaping from zip+4 to household-level addressability.
ClickerTV has developed interest from operator and programmer
customers, including: Cablevision, A&E, Lifetime and
NBC Universal. |
InVino Sense |
The first product of InVino Sense, Inc.
is intended for high-end winemakers who wish to monitor
more accurately the growth and maturation of grapes as
they ripen on the vine, throughout the growing season
and throughout the vineyard. It is an inexpensive, powerless
and wireless biosensor platform to initially detect changes
in sugar concentration inside the grape berry. By embedding
the sensor directly into grapes, the technology enables
winemakers to continuously monitor grape characteristics.
Unlike current refractory methods which necessitate destroying
the grape to measure the sugar level, this device would
allow continuous measurement without affecting the grape
growth as the device resides within the berry itself through
the ripening period. This device will be integrated with
other sensor data networks that will be developed to provide
better information to the winemaker. |
ODS Oral Delivery Systems |
(ODS) is an early-stage company developing
ODS Courier, an oral drug delivery system. ODS Courier
enables oral delivery of drugs that are typically administered
by injection or infusion, e.g. protein therapeutics whose
efficacy is compromised by conventional oral delivery.
The company's mission is to make the administration of
any drug as easy as taking a pill. The ODS Courier is
a revolutionary drug delivery device which will redefine
the standard of care for protein therapeutics! |
Parada Imaging |
Parada Imaging’s mission is to
bring high-quality MRI to every doctor’s office.
Parada Imaging has developed a breakthrough MRI technology,
called Pre-polarized MRI (PMRI), which offers the same
image quality as the current systems for a fraction of
the cost. In addition, Parada Imaging's PMRI system is
the only imaging system capable of cross-sectional imaging
near a metallic implant. PMRI is an ideal candidate for
small, dedicated MRI machines that will make MRI as ubiquitous
as x-ray. |
SeroNostics |
SeroNostics seeks to revolutionize disease
detection and monitoring by developing the SeroScreen:
a novel point-of-care diagnostic device based on technology
developed at UC Berkeley. The SeroScreen is a hand-held,
battery-powered analyzer capable of diagnosing disease
in minutes by injecting bodily fluid into disposable cartridges
that are inserted into the analyzer. |
Shape Memory Therapeutics |
Shape Memory Therapeutics (SMT) is a
medical device company founded to commercialize innovative
medical devices based on Shape Memory Polymer (SMP) materials
developed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
(LLNL). SMP’s unique properties – high expansion
capability combined with a low expansion force –
hold strong potential as an effective minimally invasive
treatment for cerebral aneurysms. |
|
TubeMogul |
TubeMogul is a provider of online video
analytics software to content creators and marketing agencies.
Our software tracks the viewership of videos across multiple
distribution sites and analyzes and presents this data
to end users. |
