The Berkeley-Haas Entrepreneurship Program hosts Hackathons which bring together UC Berkeley students of all stripes and colors–designers, coders, marketers and MBA students alike–to converge around a single theme.

The Berkeley-Haas Entrepreneurship Program supports a number of pre-eminent startup competitions whose finals are open to the public. Founded by two Haas MBA students in 1998, the University of California’s Startup Accelerator (LAUNCH), is UC Berkeley’s signature program for aspiring entrepreneurs, providing education, networking, team creation, mentorship and new venture financing to help turn innovative ideas into real businesses. With nearly 15 international partners, the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), founded in 1999 at Berkeley-Haas, focuses on catalyzing new sustainable ventures that address significant social issues, build awareness of the social entrepreneurship field and educate future leaders.
