Fellowship Winners
Announced
The
Lester Center’s annual dinner on May 13 was the occasion
to present this year’s winners of the entrepreneurship
and venture capital fellowships and to spotlight the business
plan winners.
Two $5000 Price Fellowships, awarded to first year MBAs
who are interested in entrepreneurial careers, were presented
to Jeff Renaud and Ameet Ranadive. The $5000 Turner Fellowship
in support of an MBA student’s entrepreneurial efforts,
was awarded to Evening MBA Ron Pereira.
Manuel Rodriguez and Daniel Yoo, who had earlier been announced
as the 2004 Venture Capital Fellows, were also recognized.

The highlight of the evening was presentations by Proton
Power, this year’s winner of the UC Berkeley
Business Plan Competition, and Schools for Community Empowerment,
2004 Medium Growth winner from the Global
Social Venture Competition.
