Where is the Colloquium held?
The Colloquium in November will be held at the Clark Kerr Campus of the University of California, Berkeley.

When is the Colloquium?
The Colloquium will begin with registration between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm on Monday, November 5. It will run from Monday, November 5 through lunch on Friday, November 16. In general, the days will start at 9:00 am and end at about 5:30 pm. The weekend of November 10 & 11 will be available for you to tour on your own.

Who Should attend the Colloquium?
Faculty are invited to join the Colloquium directly by Berkeley or indirectly through a local representative. We are seeking faculty from educational institutions and supporting organizations with strong desire to create, promote and support entrepreneurial environments at their institutions. We largely have technology-focused faculty along with faculty from the business school. Others who attend include entrepreneurship center directors, incubator managers and individuals involved in the development of those centers and activities.

How do I register?
If you have received an invitation to attend the Colloquium, please register using this webpage. If you would like to receive an invitation to the Colloquium, please contact Jill Erbland at erbland@haas.berkeley.edu. Please be aware that space is limited and fees may apply.

How do I get an invitation I can use for a visa?
If you need a letter to apply for your visa, please send an email directly to erbland@haas.berkeley.edu.

What is the purpose of the Colloquium?
The Colloquium is two weeks of training on rigorous details of entrepreneurship education, ecosystem development and immersion into the operations of the Berkeley entrepreneurship program. We also make extensive use of the experiences and situations of the participants to drive localization of programs and best practices. At the end of the two-week session, you will leave with a deep understanding of how you can create value at your institution and in your regions. You will be prepared to be a “master faculty” complete with the materials and skills to train others about entrepreneurship education.

What is the Agenda?
The Colloquium is arranged around three major themes. First, participants will get an assignment to describe and improve their own entrepreneurial environment. The improvements may take the form of new courses, research, creation of activities and factilities in support of entrepreneurship or the creation of faculty. This assignment will have continue through the two weeks of the seminar.

The second theme is learning from Berkeley faculty on topics of entrepreneurship and on the design of courses and activities to support entrepreneurial activity. You will experience more than seven different faculty from Berkeley in various settings and topics.

The third theme is experiencing activities at Berkeley and in the Silicon Valley. We have several activities integrated into the program including a deep look at the Intel+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge.

A detailed agenda is forthcoming.
