The Lester Center regularly cosponsors programs and events focused on entrepreneurial
topics with:

- campus organizations
- the Bay Area business community
- national and international programs
Program Partnerships at Haas
The Lester Center is pleased to co-sponsor the following outstanding
student events:
Berkeley Asia Business
Conference
The Berkeley Asia Business Conference (ABC) is an annual conference
held at Haas, aimed at bringing together the business, technological,
academic, and political leadership throughout Asia to create
a forum for exchange of visions and solutions that will shape
the marketplace for the next generation of leaders in Asian
business.
Berkeley Digital Media Conference (>play)
The Berkeley Digital Media Conference (>play) is an annual conference held at Haas which brings together creative professionals, industry leaders, and academics to discuss the trends and challenges that face technology and digital media industries.
The Lester Center coordinates with other
centers and programs at the Haas School to extend the
opportunities available to students interested in entrepreneurial
careers.
Members of the Lester Center-sponsored Entrepreneurs Association
work with the Young
Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH) both to hone their own entrepreneurial
skills and to pass their training on to the next generation.
Program Partnerships on Campus
The Lester Center collaborates with the Management
of Technology Program in administering the Mayfield Fellows
Program and in presenting opportunities for Haas students
where technology and entrepreneurship intersect.
The Center
for Responsible Business works with the Lester Center
to develop an awareness of social responsibility in business
planning. The Center for Responsible Business has agreed to
be a co-sponsor of the Lester Center’s Global Social Venture Competition.
Its ties with Lawrence Berkeley
and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, the College
of Engineering and with the Berkeley Center for Executive
Development have provided opportunities for a variety of successful
collaborations. The Lester Center actively collaborates
on programs and activities with the new Center for Entrepreneurship
and Technology in the College of Engineering.
The Lester Center continues to work with the Lawrence
Berkeley National Laboratory to facilitate the creation
of new businesses by licensing laboratory technology.
Bay Area Program Partnerships
The Lester Center has partnered with the UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition organizing committee to create a series of workshops on Entrepreneurial Best Practices that are available throughout the academic year. These workshops can help the beginning entrepreneur to make the right decisions about his opportunity and business structure.
The Lester Center is pleased to continue its long standing relationship with the Berkeley Entrepreneurship Laboratory, which provides low cost space to start-ups begun by current Cal students and recent alumni.
The Lester Center and the Keiretsu Forum work together to strengthen the Bay Area entrepreneurial climate by facilitating the interaction between the Haas School’s entrepreneurship students and Bay Area entrepreneurs and investors.

- Entrepreneurs Resource Network, a non-profit corporation providing resources, seminars, and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, start-ups and expanding businesses.
- SVASE, the largest and fastest growing nonprofit association in Northern California dedicated to helping early stage entrepreneurs across all technology sectors build successful companies.
- The Women's Calendar, the largest listing of women's events in the world.
- Astia (formerly the Women's Technology Cluster) selects and houses start-up information technology businesses in software, multimedia, Internet, infrastructure, telecommunications, wireless, digital media, business process automation or any area broadly defined as IT.
National and International Program Partnerships
As part of our mission to train successful entrepreneurs
who drive the global economy, the Lester Center partners with
institutions and companies throughout the United States and
from around the world to create programs that expand the scope
and reach of entrepreneurship at Haas.
The Lester Center has partnered with Intel to create the
Intel+UC Berkeley Global Entrepreneurship Education Partnership.
This tripartate program includes the Technology to Practice
Seminars, the Global
Faculty Colloquium and the Intel+UC
Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge.
The Lester Center is partnering with the Young Entrepreneurs Initiative, a non-profit network managed by the Office for Science and Technology of the French Embassy in the United States, which is a platform for mentoring and networking aimed at US-based entrepreneurs who understand the importance of internationalizing their vision and their activity, and who wish to set up a technology venture in France.
