Forum Welcomes New Sponsors, Advisory Council Members

The Lester Center is pleased to welcome three outstanding firms to the role of sponsors of the UC Berkeley Entrepreneurs Forum. Partech International, Hitachi America, and Deloitte & Touche have each made a three-year commitment to the support of the Forum.

Partech International, a premier venture capital firm specializing in communications and software, will be represented on the Forum’s Advisory Council by General Partner Tim Wilson. Tim joined Partech in 2001, where he focuses on communications and component investments. He currently serves on the boards of directors of ARIO Data Networks, Teknovus, Discera and InvenSense. Prior to joining Partech, Tim was Chief Marketing Officer for Digital Island (acq. by Cable & Wireless). Prior to Digital Island, Tim was General Manager of Lucent Technologies' $2B Business Communications Systems unit (now Avaya), where he led international product management efforts, and co-authored a VOIP related patent.

Hitachi’s representative on the Advisory Council will be Yoshiaki “Jack” Motoyama, Vice President of Hitachi America.

Deloitte & Touche will be represented by Brian Goncher, Relationship Manager for Deloitte & Touche in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brian joined Deloitte & Touche in 2004 as part of their growing Early Stage Venture Capital practice. Brian has 21 years of financial and operating experience, including stints at Bank of America, four high-growth companies (Buyers Club, Gear 1, ArtSearch and Astoria Software), Coopers & Lybrand, Frontier Ventures and Crystal Ventures.
