Reese Jones

 

Reese Jones is the founder and chairman of Farallon Computing, Inc. of Emeryville, California. The privately held company, established in 1986, develops and sells networking and communications software and hardware products for personal computers.


Jones holds a bachelor's degree in Biophysics from the University of California at Berkeley. While a student, he founded the Berkeley Macintosh User's Groups (BMUG) now the largest and most successful Macintosh user group in the world.


Jones is widely recognized as an expert in the fields of Macintosh computing, networking, and voice/data communications. He also serves on the board of Bright Star, Inc., the Seattle, Washington-based company that develops mutimedia products for the Macintosh Computer.
