Curtis MacDonald

Curtis MacDonald is an Entrepreneur and Early Stage VC. As a Venture Partner at HTGF, Curtis helps the VC firm manage their US startups and activities. While an investor at HTGF, Curtis led Seed and Series A Investments in over a dozen high-tech startups, including HTGF’s first international investments. He created and managed a profitable portfolio of 12 startups. In his role as Senior Investment Manager, Curtis negotiated with founders and led HTGF’s participation in the financing, then took a directorship position on the board and mentored the startups. He managed each stage of the investment, from initial contact to exit. Prior to moving to Germany, Curtis founded a VC-backed consumer WiFi company, hField Technologies. Over the next five years in his roles as CEO and later as CTO, Curtis was responsible for the technological and product development of the company’s first product, the Wi-Fire (at the time available at Best Buy). At Lehigh University Curtis was awarded a dual IBE Business and Computer Engineering degree, followed later by a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
