Programs in Technology and Biotechnology

Berkeley is the perfect place to develop your taste for the technology-based enterprise. The unique collaboration between the Haas School and the College of Engineering gives the Haas MBA unparalleled access to some of the best new technology in the nation. Berkeley's location in the heart of the biotech industry brings the best of biotech to the doors of the school.

Haas Technology Club. The Haas Technology Club is for anyone who has a passion for technology. Their mission is to leverage our proximity to the epicenter of technology by providing members access to educational, career, and networking opportunities. The HTC also sponsors the annual Digital Media Conference, providing a forum "where technology business and academia meet." This is a fantastic opportunity for you to network with big name players in the technology fields.

Berkeley Nanotechnology Club. The BNC is an interdisciplinary student-led initiative in nanotechnology at UC Berkeley. BNC is affiliated with the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Group as well as the Management of Technology program. BNC organizes the Berkeley Nanotechnology Forum and the Nano Opportunity Challenge.

Berkeley BioBusiness Association (B3A).
B3A is a forum for all members of the UC graduate student community to learn more about the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. By leveraging its location in the "Biotech Bay", the club provides opportunities for students to interact with professionals working in a range of functions in these industries. They sponsor a speaker series and a Firm Night.

Lester Fellows Meetings. The Lester Fellows program supports the involvement of entrepreneurail leaders in the varied activities of the Haas School. Fellows are successful Bay Area company founders and venture capitalists who have been closely affiliated with the center for at least one year and serve as mentors to the Berkeley MBAs. Fellows are chosen not only for their entrepreneurial track record, but for their enduring commitment of time and energy to the Haas School.

MOT Lecture Series. Offered in the spring, this lecture series brings to campus innovators, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs who have had significant impacts on technology, especially in the Bay Area.
