Students and alumni have the opportunity to schedule 20-minute sessions with some of the Bay Area’s top entrepreneurs, VCs and attorneys through our Mentoring Hours program. Mentees must be enrolled in or have completed a degree program at UC Berkeley to be eligible.
We have over 50 mentors who generously donate their time to help students with their business ideas in person or via Zoom.
Our Mentoring Programs
Want some expert advice on your business idea?
Spinning your wheels trying to choose the right business model?
Our regular mentoring program pairs student-entrepreneurs with experienced professionals for 20-minute sessions. Availability of appointments with mentors is announced by e-mail. In order to sign up for a mentoring slot, you must respond to the email announcement we send out about a specific mentor. We will send out each announcement 1-2 days prior to the mentoring hours. Current students and alumni may sign up for e-mail announcements.
Notes on mentoring sessions
- In order to accommodate as many appointments as possible, we ask students to limit signups to two mentoring slots per month. No more than one appointment is allowed with the same mentor per day – duplicate requests will be deleted.
- Mentoring hours are in-person only unless explicitly offered via Skype. Exceptions will be granted for EMBA and EWMBA students with specific requests for phone appointments.
- If you are a no-show to a mentoring appointment, you won’t be able to sign up again that semester.
- Upcoming mentor slots are announced at the beginning of each week (including the summer) and appointments fill up quickly, so please look for the email. Sign up for e-mail announcements.
