Georgia Athanasiou is the founder of Bay Area CFO Consultants, a firm that consults with private companies from the start-up phase to operating companies with $20M in revenue. Georgia’s strength is helping her clients create money strategies that position them to meet their financial and operating goals, both through growth opportunities and challenging economic times, with a focus on key metrics which drive revenue growth, cash management and profitability. Previously, she was a founding member of the Sensys Networks management team, a Berkeley founded and based high-tech company, with revenue growth of 3000% over a three year period, debuting in 80th position on the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies in 2010 and 35th position on Deloitte’s 500 Growing High Tech Companies in 2011. Georgia has been in the San Francisco Bay Area start-up community for 20 years. She holds her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, and her M.S. in Business Analysis and Finance from San Francisco State University.
